Holtek is pleased to announce the release of its new Flash series MCUs, in the form of its I/O type HT68F1x series and the A/D type HT66F1x series. All devices meet with full industrial specifications (-40°C~85°C) and have high noise immunity. Together with their In-Circuit Programming capabilities, the devices permit program modifications to be easily implemented with the device still in-circuit, a feature which greatly enhances product flexibility. The new Flash MCU device series includes 1~4K words of Program Memory and 64~192 bytes of SRAM Data Memory. In addition to their crystal and external RC oscillators, all devices also include fully internal RC oscillators, which require no external components and can provide fixed high frequencies of 4MHz, 8MHz, 12MHz and a low frequency of 32KHz. There are also four software COM outputs to drive low count pixel LCD panels. The HT68F1x and HT66F1x series devices also include Holtek’s new multi-function timer modules. These new timer modules are capable of providing functions such as Timer/Counter, Capture, Compare Match Output, Single Pulse Output and PWM signal generation. All devices in the A/D type HT66F1x series also contain a 12-bit high speed ADC and internal voltage reference function. The series is supplied in a wide range of package types from 16~28 pins. With their exceptional hardware resources and application flexibility, these new Flash MCUs will find excellent use in a wide range of application areas such as household appliances, medical care products, portable devices, battery chargers to name but a few. To support these new devices, Holtek supplies a full suite of hardware and software tools known as the HT-IDE3000 which includes an In-Circuit-Emulator, full trace analysis functions as well as many other functions to ensure that users have their designs up and running in the shortest time possible.

The HT32F125x series devices contain 8K~32K bytes of Flash Program Memory and 2K~8K bytes of SRAM Data Memory together with an 8-channel 12-bit 1Msps high speed A/D converter and multiple newly designed General Purpose Timer Modules. These Timer Modules can implement functions such as Timer/Counter, Capture, Compare, Single Pulse Output and various PWM modes. The important issue of power management is well provided for as the devices include multiple power management modes, a power reset (POR), multi-level low voltage and brownout detection etc. In addition to operation using an external crystal, the devices also contain precise internal RC oscillators providing both 8MHz and 32kHz fully internal oscillator frequencies.

The HT1382 is a low power real time clock device with two serial interface: I2C or 3-wire. The interface mode is selected by the chosen chip version. The device provides both clock and calendar information in BCD format and also includes alarm functions. The calendar is accurate until the year 2099 and includes automatic leap year correction. Offering users the convenience of Flash Memory multi-programming features, these devices also include a wide range of functions and features.
