The new Z-tron IV™ Point Level Switch from AMETEK Drexelbrook is an affordable and effective solution for a wide variety of material level applications and a desirable alternative to electromechanical level switches. Unlike paddle wheels, vibrating tines or other mechanical instruments, the Z-tron IV has no components to jam, break or wear out.
The Z-tron IV’s all-electronic design means no parts to wear, break or fail. Based on field-proven RF technology, it is a simple and reliable on/off level switch. It is unaffected by sticky coatings and impervious to corrosive liquids. There are no expendable parts to buy or stock, no need for routine maintenance, cleaning or repairing of worn parts, and no expensive extra cost options.
Drexelbrook’s patented Cote-ShieldTM circuitry allows the Z-tron IV Level Switch to ignore coatings and build-up on the sensing element. Dust or tunneling will not produce a false signal. The Z-tron IV Level Switch reacts only to actual high- or low-level conditions. The integral, one-piece design allows for easy installation through a single ¾-inch vessel opening. Calibration is quick and simple.
The compact unit is inserted into a vessel so that the sensing element is positioned at the desired high or low level. When the material level reaches a predetermined point on the sensing element, it causes a change in status in the electronic unit, resulting in the actuation of a relay. That relay can be used to operate alarms, annunciators, valves, or other controls or indicators. |
